Finally!!! Three and a half weeks OFF!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally have a break from class and clinic. I get to spend 3 weeks at home with Jackson all day long. I'm so freaking excited. Nothing major planned as of now, but I'm just looking forward to relaxing and hanging out with him.

And I did finally find an awesome day care provider for him. He's going to love it... hanging out with two 18 month old girls :) She seems wonderful and has such an awesome background in childcare. YAY! :)

I can't believe my baby is already 8 months old... It's gone by way too fast. He's doing such non baby things now... as much as it amazes me, it makes me sad that he's growing so fast. He's going to be walking before I know it.

Thursday is our last home visit for the post placement supervision. I can't believe we're so close to actually finalizing his adoption. Wow. Not that a piece of paper changes anything, but it's just weird to think about. After the visit, our social worker said it would take 6-8 weeks for the court order to go through, and then we're final!!

Finding childcare...

is apparently a very difficult task! I have spent countless hours emailing and calling people, meeting with them, and not one has turned out to be what I want for Jackson. ARGH!!!

Thankfully I have a little over a month before I need care for him, but still. I'm hoping to meet with someone this week that just feels "right" for us. Here's hoping this upcoming week is better than last week in my search for a great day care.

Because he's too darn cute and I love taking photos of him...

Some new photos of him from our trip to the zoo (where he was aptly intrigued by the nonstop go action of the monkeys... considering the nickname that seems to have stuck with him is monkey) and him playing at home.

And as soon as I can fix my laptop to be compatible with my new camcorder software, I will have tons of videos of him to share.

So, I've joined the blogging world...

Not that there is all that much going on right now that needs to be commemorated into a blog... but it looks like fun :)

I am almost finished with my summer courses, Thank GOODNESS. I seriously need a break. It's hard to comprehend that in a little over a year, I'll be done with grad school and looking for a placement for my fellowship internship. Scary. I honestly am scared by that. I've been doing the school thing since 2003. It'll be weird to make that transition, but I'm looking forward to it. I've worked too hard not to.

Jackson is almost 8 months now. He's got such a sweet personality, and he's doing so much now. He's able to crawl everywhere and pull up to standing on almost any surface he can reach. I can't believe my baby is almost 1. I'm glad he's growing, but I don't want him to grow so fast.
